So finally here we are! BLOGGING!
What is blogging? When did this word suddenly come into our lives? Google Baba says, " The term "weblog" was coined by Jorn Barger on December 17, 1997. The short form, "blog", was coined by Peter Merholz, who jokingly broke the word weblog into the phrase we blog in the sidebar of his blog Peterme.com in April or May 1999.
Oh. Okay...Thank you WIKIPEDIA. I know you know, but I am not sure I know why I should blog. Is it necessary? Do people read these days? I myself read the bare minimum! I have hardly the time to watch NETFLIX ! Why should I blog, I ask hesitatingly. I am told I SHOULD blog. Divert traffic to website, it makes more money - though no one knows how for sure :-) How boring. OKAY! " Can I just blog for fun?" " What Gouri! Everything does not have to be fun! It should be informative and valuable. You have to teach, say useful stuff, make it worth their time." " Umm..I see..." " And don't upset anyone." " Do I upset anyone? Can i just speak the truth?" I ask eagerly. " TRUTH??!! Are you crazy? No! Just lie! Be fake! Pretend you have a cool, happy life ". " Huh!? I HAVE a pretty cool, happy life, I thought! You don't think?! I do what I really, really like and I am nice to people....MOST of the time... " . I was getting a bit agitated! "Hey, why do I have to pretend I have a great life? It IS great sometimes and sometimes it's not so great but that must be the story of nearly ALL people isn't it?" And anyway, everyone has a version of what a great life means. Isn't it? Mine is just such a simple wish. To see everyone smile... Sooo.....( thanks, MAXIMBADY) where do we g0)
